In 2020, we realised that quite a lot of houses don’t quite work for the people living in them. We also realised that the people in them needed help in making them work. Unfortunately, more often than not, people don’t know where to start or feel that this design malarkey sounds dreadfully expensive…cue InsideOut.

At InsideOut, we are problem solvers dedicated to making your physical world around you work better for…well…you. Based out of our design studio in Newcastle Upon Tyne, we create interior re-configurations, extensions, external spaces which work better for…you. Focusing on domestic projects, our motivation is to design soulful and interesting places which embrace and celebrate the complexities of real-world living.
Positive and pragmatic, we listen, question, then lead the conception through to the construction of special places with how you live in mind. Ingenuity and inspiration are used to make projects that are beautiful, buildable whilst using a transparent process and at an affordable cost.

Our work starts with the project: who is it for? what is it for? where is it? what will it cost? what will it give to the lives that go on in it and around it? what is the best it can be? We make cost-planning easy: Traditionally, Architects will charge between 5%-15% of build costs: in contrast, you will pay a fixed cost for the design of your project. this means it is easier to plan your build budget. The bottom line…We feel great design should be for everyone, not just reserved for only those who can afford it!
